O Golden Horse! 2024

~8.5x11 in

Inspired by medieval depictions of Heaven as a physical space, O Golden Horse! is a partially auto-fictional exploration of the after life. Putting together elements of Risograph prints, Acetate and laser cut vinyl, I created a sculptural print publication. The front and back covers, archways cut out of vinyl, represent doors or stained glass windows--an opening into the world of the publication. One side opens to detailed research about how media depicts the afterlife as a physical place, the other opens to a narrative inspired by my own experiences with picturing the afterlife. They meet in the middle in a map I illustrated, a nod to the core of the project--life after death as a geographic, mappable space. This work was featured in the 2025 Juried Skidmore College Student Exhibition and won
an Honorable Mention.
